Lavender Fields of Valensole, France

Endless rows of purple, golden light, and the scent of summer.

During my road trip from Turin to Valencia, I couldn’t resist making a stop in Valensole. It was June — the perfect season to see the lavender in full bloom — and I knew I couldn’t just drive past without taking a moment to capture it.

Golden light, endless lavender, and the quiet hum of summer.

I arrived a few hours before sunset, when the light was soft and golden. The fields stretched endlessly in front of me, waves of purple that seemed to flow all the way to the horizon. There was a quiet stillness in the air, broken only by the hum of bees. The smell of lavender was everywhere — strong, calming, unforgettable.

Alongside the lavender, I also found wide fields of sunflowers, their bright yellows standing tall against the fading light. Together, the purple and yellow painted the landscape with the purest shades of summer.
